My journey began with a simple yet powerful idea—to create an organizational and functional bag for busy women on the go.

I’m a problem solver by nature. I love creating, tinkering, and figuring things out. After being laid off from my engineering job, I founded a nonprofit organization to help low-income single moms and dads in college pay for childcare so they could continue their education. Through this nonprofit, I awarded over $3 million in childcare scholarships to more than 500 student-parents. I'm proud that this work helped so many parents persevere through school and graduate while raising their families.

During my time working with these moms, I noticed they often struggled with managing their bookbags and diaper bags. And then it hit me—I was struggling with bags too. Yes, I was the bag lady!

As a commuter, I found myself juggling two or three bags every day on the train—my purse, laptop, lunch, and sometimes shoes stuffed into a plastic grocery bag. It was a hassle. I needed a solution that could combine and organize the things I carried in three different bags into one. When I couldn’t find anything that worked, I decided to create it myself. That was back in 2011.
